First and foremost, let us introduce ourselves. We are Joan and Mike Loch, the owners of Crescent Moon. We hope you are visiting our website because you have been to our gallery and now want to create your own Dream List, or want to keep up with new art on the Moonlight page, or to read about our Spotlight artist(s) of the month. Whatever the reason, thanks for stopping by.

Two years ago, we embarked on life’s Plan B after spending many years working in the corporate arena. Due to our love of boating and all things water, we leased our home and purchased a boat to live on. The cold winter months in New Jersey (where we’re from) were harsh and long, so after spending a winter in Wilmington, NC, we fell in love with the area. We were amazed to learn of the opportunity to purchase Crescent Moon, and still think it is one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. We’re happier than ever living on our 42’ Jefferson Sundeck, and are enjoying our new careers as retailers of handcrafted glass and metal art.

It has been 1-1/2 years since we purchased Crescent Moon and the opportunities for us have surprised us. Mike is now blowing glass and selling his art in the shop and I’m starting to learn working with glass with a torch. What the next 1-1/2 years will bring our way is a mystery, but one that we will unravel and certainly have fun with.
