Our mission is to make your art gift-giving or collecting the easiest and best experience!
Joan and Mike Loch

Thank you visiting our online craft gallery showcasing artists throughout the USA and Canada representing the most unique hand crafted art available to fit all budgets and gift needs. We choose each and every selection of art and we get to know all of our artists. If an item is out of stock, we can easily get it for you on our next order with the artist. We can work with you on custom color selections or sizes for a wall decor or help you choose someone for a commissioned piece. Relationship with over 200 artists in Glass, Wood, Pottery, Metal and Mixed Media help to provide you with choices in your special piece.
We are Joan and Mike Loch, owners of Crescent Moon at 24 N. Front, LLC located in historic downtown Wilmington, North Carolina. Seven years ago in New Jersey we embarked on life’s Plan B after spending many years working in the corporate arena. Plan B included moving onto a 42 ft. Jefferson Sundeck, deciding to relocate to a southern climate, selling our waterfront townhome, and traveling the ICW (Intracoastal Waterway) for 3 seasons while deciding what the career part of Plan B was. Aahh…we found Wilmington and Crescent Moon and the rest is history now.
We are now retail owners since January 2007 and specializing in hand crafted at. Though we no longer live on our Jefferson, we became dirt dwellers again in 2009 and Quiescent sold in 2011, we will someday travel the waters again. It was an experience we would not trade, a dream that became reality, and one that opened a door that we entered anew, and couldn’t be enjoying more.
August of 2011 Miss Daisy Dukes joined our family and is a most popular employee at the shop. Her job? To greet and lick as many customers she can each day. Though she also alerts me to any other dog entering her new space.
March 2013 brings us to our new larger store front location in the center of Downtown Wilmington. Our expansion plans include new artists who work in pottery, wood and fiber. Mid 2013 we will develop our artist loft in 1700 sq. ft. above our retail gallery offering studio space and classroom space to the local art community.
Many thanks to all of our customers, both those we have met and chatted with, and those we have yet to meet. Enjoy our website, ask any questions, and come visit us anytime!
